LAWN SERVICE
While many other landscaping companies focus on large landscape installs, hardscaping or servicing large commercial contracts, we have built our business around, and continue to focus primarily on, residential maintenance. Your weekly service won’t be put on the back burner because of a large project elsewhere taking priority. Outside of weather delays, we pride ourselves on keeping a reliable mowing schedule. MJ’s Lawn Service uses only top quality commercial mowers, which are properly sized for your residential property. Instead of leaving behind ruts, we leave you with a professionally manicured lawn. We are licensed, insured and our employees are covered under workers comp coverage.
MJ’s will service your lawn on a weekly basis for the months of April, May, June, July, August, September, October, and November, and as needed for the months of March and December. Your lawn service will be scheduled on the same day of each week. In the event of inclement weather, service will be scheduled for the next available day.
Lawn service will include: mowing all turf areas, trimming all turf areas inaccessible to mower with a string trimmer, edging of all walks and driveways, and blowing the resulting clippings. Standard weekly service price does not include excessive leaf or trash cleanup, animal feces cleanup, or bed weeding/maintenance, but those services are available. Minimum of 6 consecutive weekly service visits required to get started. First visit will be billed at hourly rate if lawn or edges are overgrown, or cleanup work is needed.

POOP-SCOOP SERVICE
MJ’s also offers poop scoop service. Before each weekly service, we will pick up and bag the mess, and dispose of it. This service is optional; however, if feces is not cleaned up by the homeowner before the weekly service, we will clean it up for an additional charge before we service the property. Below prices are for one weeks accumulation.
This service is $12 for one dog, $18 for two dogs, $24 for three dogs.
MULCH
Fresh mulch will make a huge visual improvement to your current landscape. It will also help your plants retain moisture and nutrients, and help prevent weeds from taking over your beds. MJ’s uses a high quality, triple shredded and dyed, hardwood mulch. This is the best mulch available. It has a nice uniform color that looks good for up to a full year, as it is a dyed dark brown. We do not use dump/landfill mulch. If needed, weeding and bed clean out completed prior to install will be billed at man hour rate.
Mulch price: $125 per cubic yard, material and install. $100 delivery fee per dump truck load.
CORE AERATION OF ALL TURF SURFACES
This procedure involves removing small plugs of turf to help eliminate surface compaction. This helps let water, nutrients, and air into your lawn. Lawn aerating is an important service that should be done at least once annually for a healthy lawn.
Price: Weekly Lawn Service Price multiplied by 3.5.
Example= Weekly price of $50 x 3.5= $175 for Aeration
BUSH TRIMMING/ CLEANUP/ WEEDING
All work, other than weekly maintenance, will be billed hourly at $65 per man per hour, timed start to finish (1 man hour min.) This price includes the use of efficient commercial equipment by skilled employees, working at an optimal pace. Additional work can be scheduled any time via email, or by calling us. Most companies do not divulge their hourly rate, and instead quote high flat rate prices for all work, and build in significant profit. While there is nothing wrong with either approach, we feel that disclosing our rates up front and being transparent is fairest for both parties.
